GROUND's World Earth Day 2023: Using Modern Technology to Reduce Waste

At GROUND, there are a number of foundations upon which we have built the brand from the ground up. These foundations stem from a belief in the importance of self care as a vital way to sustain ourselves as human beings, as well as staying true to a sustainable approach to all that we offer. We believe in constantly adding to our pre-existing sustainability efforts; we continue on our pursuit to thoroughly and authentically address sustainability and ensure it remains a top priority here at GROUND Wellbeing.

At GROUND, our partnerships are very important to us and we value them greatly. However, no partnership is more important than the partnership we have with the planet. While we certainly don’t claim to have all the answers, we believe that knowledge is key to making an impact. With this in mind we continue on our path of learning, constantly striving to do better and find ways to operate in a more sustainable way.

We have already implemented various initiatives to reduce our carbon footprint, such as using low impact materials and sourcing organic and ethically produced ingredients. To learn more about our existing efforts please visit Our Sustainability page. We are, however, always looking for ways to improve, and we are excited to introduce our newest sustainability effort: QR codes.

Using QR Code Technology to Reduce Waste

For those unfamiliar with QR codes, they are a type of barcode that can be scanned using a smartphone camera. This technology allows us to provide information to our customers without the need for extra printing.

Instead of printing out product information or instructions, customers can simply scan the QR code to access this information digitally.

The benefits of QR codes are numerous. First and foremost, they cut down on printing, ink, and paper, which significantly reduces our carbon footprint. Additionally, information can be updated without the need for re-prints, reducing the risk of any unnecessary waste. QR codes also allow for even more transparency: product information, raw materials, ingredients, and even rituals can be provided without extra printing. We have been working diligently in the background on this new initiative and you’ll see it being rolled out in full in the coming weeks and months.

At GROUND Wellbeing, we believe that sustainability is not just a one-time action but a way of living and thinking. By constantly looking for ways to improve and adapt, we can make a positive impact on the planet and contribute to a more sustainable future. We hope that our new QR code initiative will help us get closer to achieving this goal and in doing so inspire others to think creatively about how they can reduce their own carbon footprint.

Happy World Earth Day from all the team at GROUND!
